Windows to faith

Angel at Tomb

I love the thought that we are like stained glass windows – and the light of Christ shining in us allows the colors to “fall” on us and others – coloring our gray world and pointing others to Jesus.

Angel at Tomb

We have long loved our church’s stained glass windows. And recently we have been talking about ways to light them up and let them shine. At the same time, though, we need to work on letting the light of Christ shine through us.

Lamb

Our Lenten Worship Series, Windows To Faith, is looking at the stories and scenes depicted in our church windows and seeing how they speak to us; how they can help us be beacons of brightly colored light in a dark world.

Prayer

We will “consider the lilies” and be with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. We will explore those stories and more.

Shepherd

We will reflect on Jesus as The Good Shepherd, and as the shepherd who leaves the 99 in order to find the lost one.

Sower

So come! Make the journey to Easter more meaningful: commit to being in worship and to letting your light shine!

Six Stained Glass Windows

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine; this little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine; this little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine; let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
