Welcome to worship Sunday, October 4th.
Today is World Communion Sunday. Offering funds for this day go to racial-ethnic World Communion scholarships, with at least half of the annual amount reserved for ministries beyond the United States. Donations also provide for undergraduate U.S. Ethnic Scholarship and Ethnic In-Service Training programs. You may include your World Communion contribution in your giving electronically through your bank, online through the church website, or US Mail to the church, designating it for the World Communion Sunday.

"It's especially important to practice the daily discipline of scripture devotion in our seasons of winter. When we engage in daily spiritual formation, we deepen our roots...and grow our capacity to handle any season of life." Junius Dotson, one of the writers in a previous The Upper Room Disciplines, could have written this in 2020! This book of daily devotions based on the lectionary readings can provide direction for your time with God. If you would like for me to order a copy (or copies) of The Upper Room Disciplines 2021, the cost is $15.00 each or $17.50 for a large print copy, including shipping and handling. This is a discounted price, which may be adjusted. Please let me know your order by October 25. E-mail me at JAJV6@aol.com or call me at 644-3244. You may pay after they arrive. - - Jean J.
