Virtual Poinsettia Dedication

String Caroling Event: A strings group from the Florida Philharmonia Orchestra will be playing Christmas tunes beginning at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, in front of the church steps. Social distancing and the wearing of masks around the area and across the street are highly encouraged. If everyone spreads out, people can even sing along. Together, let's make this bleak year a little more joyful. Please join us.

Christmas Eve Outdoors: Bring a chair; sing hymns; hear the Christmas story; and share in candle lighting. Join us at 7:00 p.m. December 24 at College Heights. All are welcome. As well, we will have a virtual Christmas Eve service of Lessons and Carols. Watch your email for the link.

NEW TAX DEDUCTIBLE GIVING FOR THIS YEAR ONLY For 2020 only, the CARES Act allows taxpayers who do not itemize deductions a one-time, abovethe-line deduction o their federal taxes of up to $300 for cash gifts, i.e. gifts made via check or credit card. Generally, people taking the standard deduction do not receive any tax benefit for their charitable contribution. Because this is an “above-the-line” deduction, a gift to the church can help reduce total federal taxable income by up to $300. The CARES Act also allows itemizers to deduct cash contributions of up to 100% of their adjusted gross income (AGI) in 2020 for federal tax purposes.
