Sanctuary Flowers

Most weeks, sanctuary flower arrangements are artificial.  These beautiful displays are the work of Dennis Wood who has done such a wonderful job that many do not realize these are not live arrangements.  Since there are not many sponsors for live sanctuary flowers, the  cost was cutting into our ministry budgets.

The Worship Committee, Finance Committee, and Church Council decided that using artificial  flower arrangements is a  great way to cut costs so that we may be good stewards of the gifts that are given for ministry. Live flowers in  honor of or in memory of a loved one remain an option because we can order as needed.  If you are interested in dedicating sanctuary  flowers, call the church office to schedule your request.  The cost is $100.00 for the two arrangements. When you make payment, please note that it is for sanctuary flowers.

Pastor's Discretionary Fund

The Pastor's Discretionary Fund is used to help persons who are in immediate need.  These needs can range from bus fare and food to help with paying a medical or electric bill.  Your generosity in giving to this fund is always appreciated.     Although monies can be designated  and given to this fund at any time, the easiest way to support this ministry is to leave money on the chancel rail during Holy Communion.  All monies left on the rail are designated for this fund.  We thank you for your support of this and all ministries of College Heights UMC.

If you need a ride to Sunday worship, call the office Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and we will TRY to find someone to give  you a ride.

Although we presently do not have anyone we regularly drive, we still need to have drivers on stand-by if the need arises.  Please  call the office to volunteer for this ministry.

Equal Exchange

It's about what you drink matching what you believe.

Jesus taught us, "As you do for the least of these, you do also for me."

We believe he really meant what he said, so College Heights UMC has decided to use and sell (at cost) Equal Exchange fairly traded products, so that we can put our values where we eat and drink!

Find the Equal Exchange coffee, tea, and cocoa display in the Fellowship Hall, and treat yourself and your friends to a delicious cup that stands for a living wage!
